Today in our prayers we remember Laura Sherman.

Look for me at Christmas

If you look for Me at Christmas,
You won't need a special star---
I'm no longer just in Bethlehem,
I'm right there where you are.

Look for me at Christmas I care and love you so

You may not be aware of Me
Amid the celebrations---
You'll have to look beyond the stores
And all the decorations.

Look for me at Christmas listen to your heart

But, if you take a moment
From your list of things to do
And listen to your heart, you'll find
I'm waiting there for you.

Look for me at Christmas your the reason that I came

You're the one I want to be with.
You're the reason that I came
And you'll find Me in the stillness,
As I'm whispering your name.

Love Jesus

Today in our prayers we remember Don and Gianna Senerius.

My Dear Friends,

I have always loved Christmas.  I love almost everything about it.  My memories of Christmases past are vivid and lasting.  I have celebrated many Christmases.  It never gets old.  Oh, some years I grow weary of decorating or buying presents. Sometimes I even get tired of writing Christmas sermons (I know that is hard to believe). But, I never get tired of Christmas.

Each and every year I am amazed all over that God actually chose to become human and that God chooses to be born in the manger of my heart.  The physical celebration of Christmas waxes and wanes, but the Spiritual celebration of the Word made flesh only grows in its intensity and deepens our appreciation for the all consuming love that God has for us.

God go with you,
Pastor Tom

Today in our prayers we remember Brian and Colleen Sedora.

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 103:1

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name.

My dear friends,

Bless the Lord from the days first glimmer of the sun through the last spark of the stars I the night sky; and then go on blessing God till the last hour of life, and enter into heaven into the eternal glory, still blessing God. It should be our life to bless him who gave us our life. It should be our delight to bless him who gives us all our delights. So says the text, and so let us do: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

We bless God with our lips and with our lives.  We bless God by our thankfulness.  We bless God by blessing others.

I pray that on this as we approach Christmas that we prepare our hearts to receive our Lord who loves us and blesses us. May you and your family know God’s blessings this Advent.

Bless the Lord, O my soul.
Pastor Tom
